Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonae Prevost.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Well, I started off doing pageants as a kid. My mom literally thought I was a little barbie doll. As I got older, I modeled here and there but nothing really too big. I didn’t really start taking everything I wanted to do seriously until I moved to Houston when I was 21. I’ve always known I wanted to do something creative but just didn’t know how to or where to start. So, I just started booking shoots and taking more pics on my phone and my following just started to grow from there.
Has it been a smooth road?
Well, I’m still on the road so it’s definitely not smooth. I struggle with always feeling like I can be doing more but you have to be patient with your growth. You just have to be confident in whatever it is you are doing and don’t let any outside negativity alter what your goal is.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I’m a model, actress and I sing and rap. I think what sets me apart from others is I’m truly versatile. I can be a slick-talking gangsta one minute and soft, sensual and seductive the next.
Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
It’s literally the decade of the women. Women are taking over in everything and I only see it’s getting better from here. The opportunities are limitless, we can anything a man can do. And nine times of out ten, we’ll do it better.
