Today we’d like to introduce you to Lilia Ramirez.
Lilia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
All started about eight years ago, I suffered from anxiety, panic attacks and depression so so bad that it would keep me from going out of the house and keep a job, they were so bad I would always leave work because of my panic attacks. One day, searching online for ideas to decorate my daughters birthday party, I came across balloon decorations on YouTube and I thought it was beautiful! I couldn’t believe all the things you could create out of balloons, after that day, I would spend all afternoons practicing making flowers and balloon dogs after a few practices and visits to the ER, I decided to quit my job and started doing balloons. My very first job was a balloon arch for someone in my neighborhood, the funny part is that we had to blow up all the balloons by mouth because I didn’t even have an air blower yet… but I didn’t say no! I kept practicing and doing my balloons to people I knew for whatever they could give me until I decided to create my Facebook page and make it business from my garage. It sure has not been easy I still struggle (sometimes) driving alone to setups but I can say the balloons save my life.
Today, I can say I did it !! I beat depression and my panic attacks with the help of my husband always being there for me 100% telling me all the time that I can do this and my parents for all their help and support but the most important guidance from God taking us to the right persons to work with, we are happy to announce the opening of our own Balloon Store a new chapter for Lili’s Balloon Decorations.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been easy, keeping a house with four kids and a business is not easy, there have been struggles a lot along the way I’ve been scared, I have cried even worked all night because you can’t afford to pay for help but at the end, it was all worth it. Now, we have five employees and looking to hire more!
And to all women and young women out there who are starting a business or thinking about having their own balloon business or any other business, please don’t give up, it’s hard but not impossible keep going doesn’t matter what other people tell you to do what your heart tells you…

We specialize in everything with balloons, we don’t just provide large balloons, balloon garlands or balloon arches and columns, we also love creating balloon walls, balloon sculptures and making designs that people specifically ask for, here at Lili’s Balloons, we love challenges!

Always ask God for guidance and direction first and stay organized it helps! (I try.)
