Hi Abhilasha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey to becoming a realtor has been anything but ordinary. With a Master’s degree in Computer Applications and over 15 years spent in the IT industry, I had a stable career that many would envy. But deep down, I always felt like something was missing. The tech world, though fulfilling in many ways, didn’t give me the joy I found in connecting with people, exploring new places, or dreaming big about the future.
It was during those years in IT that I began to realize what truly sparked my enthusiasm—people. I have always had a knack for socializing, meeting new individuals, and learning about their diverse backgrounds. I also developed a deep appreciation for beautiful houses, and the idea of touring them became a passion. But what truly set me on a different path was my love for investing and the dream of creating significant wealth—something I knew was possible if I made the right moves.
I decided to take a leap of faith. I left the comfort and security of my IT career and ventured into various business opportunities. Along the way, I encountered several challenges, but every setback fueled my drive to succeed. My journey wasn’t a straight line, but each experience helped me refine my skills and narrow down what I was truly meant to do.
Eventually, it became clear to me that real estate was the perfect fit. I could combine my love for meeting new people, my passion for beautiful homes, my knack for negotiation, and my interest in investing. It was the perfect opportunity to merge my personal and professional aspirations. Becoming a realtor has been a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience. I’m still learning and growing in the field, but I love the process of meeting clients, understanding their needs, and helping them find their dream homes.
To share my passion with a wider audience, I recently launched my YouTube channel, HoustonDreamHomes, where I showcase stunning properties, offer tips for potential buyers, and share my journey in real estate. While I am still progressing, I have no doubt that I am on the right path. I dream big, and my ultimate goal is to become the most resourceful and knowledgeable real estate professional in town. I know there will be challenges ahead, but I’m excited for them. Every day brings a new opportunity to learn and to meet incredible people from all walks of life. Real estate is not just a business for me—it’s a passion that fuels my drive and keeps me moving forward.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were times when things didn’t go as planned like results were not immediate, it took time and patience,sometimes dissapointments after lot of efforts and I questioned whether I had made the right choice. But each obstacle was a lesson, and it strengthened my resolve to succeed. The setbacks fueled my drive, and I learned to embrace the process of failure as an essential part of growth.

I am a real estate professional specializing in residential properties especially new construction. I help clients find their dream homes, whether they are first-time buyers, investors, or those looking to relocate. My background in IT, combined with my love for connecting with people, touring beautiful homes, and my passion for investing, sets me apart in the real estate world. I’m committed to providing a personalized experience for every client, ensuring they are informed and confident throughout the entire process.
In addition to my real estate work, I recently started a YouTube channel, HoustonDreamHomes, where I share property tours and helpful tips for buyers and sellers. My social media presence is growing, with my posts on Facebook gaining popularity as I connect with more people who share my passion for real estate.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the positive feedback I receive from my clients. The relationships I’ve built have been truly rewarding. Knowing that I’ve helped someone find the home they’ve always wanted, or made the process easier and more enjoyable for them, brings me immense satisfaction. I’m also proud of the growing presence I’ve established online.
