Today we’d like to introduce you to Adan Munoz.
Adan , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Chef Adan Munoz went back to school at the age of 38 to get his GED, the company he worked with wanted him to get a certification for the career path he was in at that time. Adan and his wife talked it over. His wife asked him, if he really want to go to school for this company, or would you rather go for himself, so he could pursue his dream career and do what he has always wanted to do. After a couple months Adan graduated from getting his GED and decided he was then going to school to pursue his culinary arts dream, something he always wanted to do. Adan pushed through working 2 jobs and going to school for 8 long years getting 2 associate’s degrees in culinary arts and business management. Adan did his internship at the Houston Racket Club which gave him the chance to work with a couple of well-known Chefs Like Chef Adam who has won many Chef Olympics. Also were so many club members feel in love with his cooking skills but were saddened once it came time for him to move on. Adan then started a catering job in Missouri City Texas which gave him the chance to cook for some pretty well- known athletes, and doctors who also really seemed to enjoy his talents in the kitchen. Adan was then offered the chance to have a food truck of his own and has rocked it for sure.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This road has not been a smooth easy road, it’s been ruff, somewhat exhausting along with many lost hours of sleep, break downs, and so many hurdles to jump over that is for sure. Along with a whole lot of sacrifice’s.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Chef Adan surly loves to be a “Mad Scientist” in the kitchen, coming up with new flavor combinations and his own sauce and seasoning creations. He is known for giving his food creations the best flavor possible. He loves a challenge from customers, looking to “add that heat” to something, Chef Adan can defiantly bring “the heat” for sure. He has a great ability to make each customer happy. He takes the time to make each order with joy and happiness. Chef Adan also enjoys collaborating with other local Chef’s like Lindsey Parker from Parker Pickling Co. to make wonderful and new flavor combos for customers to try.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Adan has so many loved ones that are cheering him on. First deserved credit is definitely “God” without the lord being first he would not be where he is right now, second being his mom Bea Solis, she is the teacher of the talents Chef Adan has. She is also the reason for all the passion behind the career path Chef Adan has taken. Next would be all the amazing family he has and all the wonderful friends both from childhood along with new friendly connections that have rallied around to show love and support along the way. Last but not lest all the customers that truly enjoy the flavor creations and keep coming for more great food made by Chef Adan each day. Chef Adan Munoz stays humbled, strong, persistent which inspires his family and everyone he meets along the way.
