Today we’d like to introduce you to Alec Wright.
Hi Alec, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Alec Wright. I’m 21 years old, I’m a young upcoming entrepreneur from Dallas, Texas. I started a few years back while I was playing college football in Tyler and studying videography and photography. One day one of my friends told me to download TikTok and I thought it was so dumb at first, but looking back it was the greatest decision I’ve ever made. Eventually, Covid hit right as spring break started and the online classes began. Throughout Covid, I caught myself loving that app so much more each day until one day I said I’m gonna start grinding out videos 30 a day to be exact. And I did that every day for around a year trying to find a way out of college and take myself out of the normal 9-5 work everyday doing what I hate kind of life. Eventually, tough times kept hitting me and hitting me harder and harder and it just made me want to make it so much more and I’m still in that constant battle to this day, but I’ve learned to embrace the struggle and keep pushing forward. I just want to leave this earth knowing I guided millions of people and helped many people realize they can do anything they want in this life and that nothing is stopping them.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Many obstacles I’ve faced have shaped me into the creator I am today like:
– losing my closest relative “my papa”
– being in between families due to parents’ divorce
– being between jobs constantly
– being hit by a drunk driver
– facing the fear of being on camera
– letting everyone laugh at me and make fun of me
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a young entrepreneur and creator that mainly focuses on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. I specifically do a lot of dance content, as well as motivational POVs for all ages. I am mostly known for those two things. I’m most proud of being able to be a light to so many people and being able to continually put a smile on millions of faces. What sets me apart from others is my drive and motivation to keep going no matter how tough anything gets along the path to success.
