Hi Anna, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Giverny Wedding Photo & Film began in 2015 with a simple idea inspired by Claude Monet’s philosophy that to truly see means letting go of oneself while looking. Named after the small French town of Giverny where Monet painted his famous waterlilies, our work has always been rooted in honest observation and emotional storytelling.
Over the past 10 years, that idea has grown into an award winning wedding photo and film studio based in Houston, Texas. We are a husband and wife team who personally capture and edit every wedding, engagement, and elopement we take on.
Today, we are known for our professional yet easy going approach, our documentary style photography and indie films, and our commitment to being inclusive.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like most small businesses, the road hasn’t always been smooth. Starting out meant learning the wedding industry from the ground up, building trust, and balancing creativity with the realities of running a business. There were plenty of moments that tested our patience and confidence.
What keeps us going is staying committed to our vision and to each other. Meeting incredible vendors, working with amazing couples, traveling to new places, and being first hand witnesses to different cultures and traditions has been incredibly motivating. Those experiences continue to inspire us, shape our work and remind us why we love what we do.

We focus on telling wedding stories as they naturally happen. Our style is documentary driven with an artistic touch, centered on real moments, genuine emotion, and the little in between details that often mean the most.
We capture weddings, elopements, and engagements, and as a husband and wife team, we personally handle every part of the process from shooting to editing. That hands on approach helps our couples feel comfortable and taken care of, and it allows us to keep our work consistent and true to our vision.
We’re known for being calm, easy to work with, and quietly present on wedding days, helping couples relax and actually enjoy the moment. We’re especially proud of the trust our couples place in us and the connections we build along the way.
