Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Hamilton II.
Hi Anthony, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started Clay’s Classics in 2016 after I graduated from college. I would go to different thrift stores around Houston to collect unique pieces of vintage clothing. It started off as a hobby, but it ended up being a business venture that I pursued. My hard work and consistency have helped me get to where I am today.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur is going to come with some type of struggle. I try not to think of it as a struggle, but as something I can learn from. There are a lot of things out of your control, so you have to keep a positive attitude and know that everything will work out.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I use my gift of creativity in different mediums of art such as painting, fashion design, photography, and videography. With my brand Clay’s Classics, I want to bring back the style of vintage clothing in a new, innovative way. I’m most proud of the collection I’m currently working on that will include reworked clothing. What sets me apart from others is that I’m very optimistic when it comes to creative ideas that I want to pursue.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to stay true to who you are. You have to believe in yourself and not worry about what people have to say. It’s important to put yourself out there because you never know who you may inspire.
