Conversations with Anushree (shree) Mukherjee

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Anushree (shree) Mukherjee again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Anushree (shree), we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
Thank you Voyage Houston for interviewing me once again. You have interviewed me many times since the year 2020 and I thoroughly enjoy talking you you each and every time you invite me. For your readers’ information, I am an entrepreneur, award-winning author and scriptwriter, Indian classical dancer, singer and a mom of three little boys. My previous interview with you was about the launch of my latest book ‘The Crimson Thread’. The book had a wonderful journey so far – bagging several international awards and being displayed at several prestigious book fairs and author festivals globally. Below is the link from my previous interview:

Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
Since my last interview, I have had very interesting experiences in every aspect of my life. I have worked harder to run my own business as a Founder and Executive Consultant at ASAPS Solutions ( https://www.asaps-solutions.com/ ) and have seen ups and downs. I attended several networking events, which were enriching for my business. ASAPS Solutions has played a new role as an ‘Associate Partner’ for an Indian Feature film ‘Ahana’, which is being screened and appreciated in several film festivals globally. It was a fantastic journey in my creative world too, with my new book getting so much appreciation and exposure. Here’s the link to purchase it – https://www.amazon.com/Crimson-Thread-Book-1/dp/9393960100 – I’m requesting all the readers here to grab a copy and leave a review about the book – that will be my biggest reward. I have also choreographed and performed on several stage shows. I got the opportunity to be a volunteer teacher for a kids winter camp, teaching them creative activities. These continue to give me immense pleasure. I also was pleasantly surprised when I got the news that I have been included in an imperative campaign like “16 Days of Activism” against gender based violence, spearheaded by UN Women under the UNiTE initiative and the news was on ABP News Live, a prominent news channel in India. I was able to visit my home country after a long time and had a great time making wonderful memories with my family. Things were not always pleasant as I also lost some loving family members recently, which were painful episodes for me. But we always learn to live with the pain and move forward. And of course, I am enjoying witnessing my little kids gradually growing and exhibiting new personalities now and then. This is such a joy.

Alright, so let’s do something a bit more fast-paced and lighthearted. We call this our lightning round and we’ll ask you a few quick questions.

When you look back on your life, what are three things you expect to be proud of?
I am proud and grateful of everything that happened in my life so far – good, bad, ugly – because those are the incidents which gave me experiences to learn for future and shaped me to a person I am today. I am a life student. “Everyday is a school day and every person / incident is a text book.” This is my own quotation © and I believe it strongly.
