Hi Armourie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello, I Armourie, a multi-platform host who creates experiences through curated conversations. Ever since I was a young girl, I was intrigued by mass communications and the way storytelling connects people. I always wanted to create safe spaces where people felt seen and heard.
After graduation, I attended Southern University, where I majored in Mass Communications with a concentration in broadcast. I fell in love with every aspect of it, from being behind the mic to being in front of the camera. Over the years, I explored different lanes of mass communications, but I eventually found my sweet spot in interviewing and hosting. It gives me the chance not only to share my own story, but also to amplify the voices of others.
I’ve often been told I have a gift for drawing people in, and honestly, I believe it’s because I approach every interview with curiosity and empathy. There’s nothing more fulfilling than peeling back the layers of someone’s journey while being vulnerable enough to share my own. Over time, I’ve had the privilege of interviewing and hosting across radio, podcast, and television platforms. And while I’m proud of what I’ve done so far, I know this is only the beginning.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has definitely had its bumps. I’ve battled overthinking, perfectionism, and moments of discouragement. There were times I poured hours into building an idea, only to stop mid-way, pivot, and forget the time I invested. But every time I stumbled, I had mentors and loved ones who reminded me of my “why.” My mom always told me to “put on my big girl panties,” and that’s exactly what I’ve had to do, dust myself off, re-focus, and keep pushing forward.
For anyone going through the same thing, the best advice I can give is the same advice that saved me: sit still, quiet the noise, and seek God’s guidance. When I shifted my focus back to Him and trusted His timing, everything else started to make sense again.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The biggest lesson has been to trust the process, even when things don’t look how I envisioned them. I like to compare it to riding a rollercoaster. You spend time waiting in line, your nerves build as you climb that first hill, and then your stomach drops the moment you hit the peak. But as the ride goes on, you realize that every twist and turn, every drop and climb, makes the ride worth it.
That’s how I view my journey. There have been highs and lows, but I’ve learned that God is the true author of my story. My role is simply to hold on, trust Him, and enjoy the ride.
