Conversations with Brandy Specks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Specks.

Hi Brandy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started out in YMCA at around 9 years old. I was in a play with my brother– he was the king and I got to be the princess. That’s what really got me excited about acting because I got to dress up and pretend to be someone else.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a road trip, for sure. Some of the struggles are not being booked, being overlooked, overworked and underpaid. Sometimes you’re unappreciated. Often times people don’t like you at all and wish on your downfall.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an Actress, Director, Casting Director, Assistant Director, Producer, Production Manager, Writer and Set Designer. Acting is my first love, so anytime acting is involved, I’m definitely diving into that first. I’m most proud of writing, producing and staring in my first film– Lola (short). What sets me apart from others is my work ethic and my willingness to stay busy and on set– My drive.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
People can work with me, collaborate and support me simply by reaching out to me. I have my personal email, brandyspecks@gmail.com and my business email, infinityscreenfilms@gmail.com. I am also on social media by searching: Brandy Specks. My websites are: Brandyspecks.com and linktr.ee/BrandySpecks.
