Hi Briana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My dream began as a very young girl, living what one would deem as a “normal” life in a Louisiana small town. While a normal life is considered a good thing per se, I always knew I was destined for greater than normal. My hometown was vibrant with culture and creativity, so much so it was a popular destination spot for domestic and international travelers. However, it wasn’t enough for me to just be from a town known for its thrills and culture; I wanted to play a direct part in the excitement.
I first received my Associate’s Degree in Nursing, then worked full-time as an RN while simultaneously completing courses until I received my Bachelor’s Degree. It was during this time I realized I could intertwine my passion for beauty and my passion for nursing by becoming a certified Aesthetic Nurse Injector.
After diving headfirst into two careers at once- Hospital Nursing & Aesthetic Medicine- I learned and trained as much as possible to continue to perfect my skills. I was climbing the ladder fast in both careers and knew I needed to pursue a Master’s degree in Nursing to feel fully prepared for my roles in both the Hospital and the Med Spa.
And here I am today, playing a direct part in the exciting worlds of Nursing & Aesthetic Medicine.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not. Life doesn’t stop throwing lemons or show you any grace because you’re trying to build your career or your dream life.
There were times I struggled financially, mentally, and emotionally with trying to balance two careers, pursue challenging academic degrees, and, of course, still show up in my personal life.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and Injector. I specialize in various aesthetic beauty treatments such as Botox, Fillers, Anti-Aging Treatments, Non-Surgical Face Lifts, and Non-Surgical Body Enhancements. I am well known in Houston, Texas for my ability to provide aesthetic treatments in such a way that you maintain your natural beauty yet look visibly younger and refreshed. My motto is- “Natural, Yet Noticeable.” This is also what sets me apart from others. I’m not a one-size-fits-all injector; no one wants to look like the man or woman next to them. People want to look like themselves, just younger and rejuvenated!
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Give yourself some grace. Everyone was a beginner at one point, and no one on Earth is perfect. Hell, we’re all winging it at this point!
