Conversations with Brittany Jernigan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Jernigan.

Hi Brittany, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I had no idea the trajectory of my life could change so much in a year. Content creation and being an influencer were never in my plan, but that’s how God works, right? While confined to my apartment during the pandemic, I started sharing cocktails on Instagram out of boredom. My community showed interest, which eventually lead to creating a blog and taking content creation seriously enough to work with major brands I love.

While many call me an influencer, my goal is to show up authentically as myself and let women know that’s okay to just be…you and own that! If I influence people along the way, my job is done. I’m a content creator who has created a community of people who are multi-faceted. They understand life is about balance. Luxury and budget-friendly finds; sneakers and high heels; cocktails at home and 5-star restaurants. The mission is to add layers to ourselves thru new experiences, big and small. All thru a simple social networking app. That’s the beauty of it all.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been challenging to navigate the influencer/content creation industry. Most think we just post pictures, but don’t understand the energy and work it takes to create content. Many topics are also considered taboo, so much of the road to success is trial and error. Being the perfectionist I am, I’ve struggled with not sharing creations I’ve put so much effort into, comparison to others, and balancing a full-time job. Add planning a wedding to that as well! It’s a lot, but it’s been a great journey of growth. I’ve learned a lot about myself and started impactful relationships along the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m known for cocktails, aesthetics, sneakers, and home decor/organization on social media, but I have a full-time career outside of content creation. I have a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. I’ve been working in the healthcare IT sector for 9 years as a clinical laboratory informatics consultant. That’s a fancy way of saying I work on the solutions and applications used in hospitals, clinics, COVID test sites, etc. I absolutely hated biology in college, but God saw fit to give me a career specializing in that area. Funny how that worked out, but I absolutely love what I do!

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
For anyone reading this that wants to make an impact on lives (whether that’s as an influencer or other route), just START. Post that picture, share that caption, etc.

I’d love for everyone to follow on IG and connect with me!

Also available to create content for brands, assist other content creators with executing their visions and I bartend private events! Let’s chat!
