Today we’d like to introduce you to Chotsani Gordon.

Chotsani Gordon

Chotsani, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started posting inspirational content for women on social media in 2019 during one of the most challenging times in my life. I was broken and broke lol. I started to document my journey and share my life lessons, motivational quotes, and actionable steps with my audience. During the pandemic, I not only lost my hair business, but I lost myself. This is when I wrote my first book, The Diamond Mindset Journal, which is a workbook journal for women who wish to make personal life changes using a guided journaling experience. This book that I have created is filled with inspirational quotes, affirmations, powerful questions, and thought-provoking activities. I lead my readers on a journey to feel empowered, follow their dreams, and build the life they deserve.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was not a smooth road at all. I battled with depression, divorce, immigration troubles, and lots of financial hardships. I knew that God didn’t just bring me this far to leave me this far. I kept on going, kept on praying and holding onto hope that someday things would get better, and they did. I find that the moment when you want to quit and throw in the towel is the exact moment to keep pushing forward.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My purpose is to motivate and inspire. I think what sets me apart is that I’ve been through the struggle. I know the struggle, and I dug myself out of it. It wasn’t easy, and although I made it look easy, it really wasn’t. I’m most proud of the woman I’ve become. People who come from where I’ve come from and have been through what I’ve been through rarely make it out. I’m known for my book The Diamond Mindset and for posting inspirational content online. I want people to say, “Wow if she did it, so can I.”

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory would be taking the double-decker bus with my grandma (Rip Nana) in London. I was born in Canada, but my mother was unable to care for me, so my grandparents came and took me to live with them in England for the first 4-5 years of my life. I remember holding my nana’s hand and begging to sit on the upper deck of the bus. I remember looking out the window and thinking about how big everything was. My grandma’s laugh and the way she would hold onto me tightly is my most fondest memory.
