Hi Chris, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It all started when I bought my first camera with the intention of filming drum tutorial videos. Once I began editing the videos, it was like a flame ignited inside of me. I grew more and more passionate about the aspects of the camera. Day and night, I was researching how to get better. After that, I decided to take a few film and photography classes and I have been enjoying photography/videography ever since. Art has always been a part of me since the day I was born…
Whether it was photography, music, fashion it was just a part of the culture as well in my household and city…I was born with these gifts/talents really art pursued me…
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a road with a lot of amazing opportunities and lessons… I’ve gained tons of knowledge working in this field and wouldn’t trade it for anything… While I’ve had a lot of wins, I’m still a student to the art…
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a freelance photographer based in Houston, TX. I specialize in being able to capture great pics through laughter. My personality is upbeat and comedic. So aside from just taking pictures, the muse in the frame has to be comfortable… I work with so many people that making people comfortable comes naturally and that’s what sets me apart from others.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The industry within the next 5-10 years will have more amazing photographers and videographers. As far as trends, I’m not really into trends. I just put out amazing work and continue to focus on my journey.
