Conversations with Christal Crockett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christal Crockett.

Hi Christal, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In 2019, I experienced a miscarriage that took me through an emotional experience. I didn’t have anyone I felt comfortable talking to about the experience because I am a guarded person. However, I do have a strong spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ. It was during the months of July to September that I had to completely empty all of my emotions, fears, and anger. I used the outlet of writing my thoughts and prayers down to express myself. While going through my healing process I invited a few young ladies over to my house for a night of prayer, worship, and girl talk. I created a prayer journal for each lady with a regular 3 ring binder. It was this night that The Covenant Prayers Journal was birthed.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey to publishing The Covenant Prayers Journal was not easy at all. I had several expectations and to be honest, all of my expectations were not able to be included in this current journal. Aside from having to be vulnerable and include personal prayers I prayed I also had to learn how to publish and manufacture a journal all on my own. Most people would hire someone to be their product manager, but I didn’t have the finances to do that as a startup company. I would be up until 3 am talking to manufacturers overseas because U.S. manufacturers are uberly expensive. I also had to learn very quickly about taxes and sales taxes. Needless to say, becoming an entrepreneur is great, but there is a huge learning curve.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Christian Content Creator as well as an author. I specialize in educating people of all ages about Christ in creative ways. I am most excited about the release of a prayer and coloring journal I released in Summer 2021. What sets this journal apart from journals you find at your local Target, Walmart, or Barnes and Nobles is that it is filled with prayers, coloring pages, pages to make biblical declarations, a customizable scripture index, as well as a short guide on how to spend time with God.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is being able to see the content I release make others find peace, encouragement, and a deeper relationship with Christ. I aim to be a pure person that can be a beacon of light in the world.
