Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Jackson
Hi Crystal, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I became an author of my published book “Do. Y.O.U.” – Your Own Unique-Ness. My book was penned to inspire, encourage, and empower ANYONE who is challenged in discovering and defining Y.O.U. (Your Own Unique-ness)!
In my book you will learn, why you were created, who you are, accept who you are, do what you are purposed to do, how to value yourself and how to enjoy being simply you are just nuggets to help you live a happy life, full of joy as well as learning to take care of yourself first. No one can really love anyone else until they learn how to love themselves’ first.
Through my passion, I was finally able to penned my thoughts, trials and challenges that helped to shape me into the person I am now. My goal in life is to make a difference and uplift others as much as possible.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of my struggles were doing EVERYTHING for EVERYBODY and putting my purpose and passion on the back burner. EVERYONE was coming first, so things I wanted to accomplish or do were left undone. Now, I’m fully pushing into my purpose and passion and enjoying the ride!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I worked in Corporate America for over 19 years, in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and specialized in Meetings and Events. I am a multi-tasker and love using my creative mind to implement and execute meetings, seminars, conferences and fundraisers.
I am currently an Executive Administrator to Bishop James Dixon at The Community Of Faith Church for 25 years. I recently reached this milestone in December 2024. We are truly a large congregation with many difference personalities, but my love for everyone is the same. In all of my challenges, I try to handle them in love, knowing that no one is perfect. Even with my flaws, I use my love for people to make a difference.
I have spoken at other churches, seminars and several conferences on Church Administration, how Y.O.U. can make it do what it do by using your God-given talent.
I am also an Licensed Insurance Agent where I am called “The Funeral Concierge.” I consult with families in helping them to make decisions for pre-planning and funeral arrangements. Because there are so many people who don’t know what to do, I make myself available so that families are less stress and loved-ones are buried in love and honor. I thank God, our Dad who died in 2016 had EVERYTHING in order and has taken care of his family in so many ways. We are still reaping benefits from his legacy. This has also inspired me to write my second book that will be coming out Spring 2025, “Help My Heart Is Broken….Now What?” It’s a story of living and coping through grief knowing that death is not the end.
I also host a monthly Birthday Celebration. This is the 2nd year and it’s growing strong. I invite anyone to attend who is celebrating a birthday in that particular month. They invite their family and friends. They are given a birthday gift and get a chance to dance on my red carpet. It demonstrates self-love. To see and hear some many testimonies on how they feel and is encouraged by the touches of love, let’s me know I am making a difference in the life of so many. We also party with a purpose, everyone who attend is asked to bring blankets or socks for someone in need. It has been a successful event each month.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My family. Our MOM is now 90 years young and living her life to the fullest. She our prayer Warrior and a strong woman of faith. To watch her walk, talk with a sharp mind, independent and healthy makes me thank God every day for keeping her. He has given her grace and mercy. Our Mom continues to love on her family and bring us so much joy. She loves on anyone who crosses her path. Relationships are genuine and matters. I certainly value, love and appreciate people and get it from our Mom!
