Today we’d like to introduce you to Dallas Chamberlain.
Hi Dallas, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been drawn to creativity, design, and building relationships with people. After earning my bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from the University of Houston, I started my career in luxury automotive sales. That experience taught me the importance of providing an exceptional customer experience, and I was fortunate to consistently be recognized for customer service and top sales.
While I enjoyed the automotive industry, I realized my true passion was helping people create something much more personal—a place to call home. I’ve always loved architecture and design, and one of my favorite creative outlets is sketching home plans and elevations from scratch. Combining that passion with my love for working with people made custom home sales a natural fit.
Today, I have the opportunity to guide families through one of the biggest decisions of their lives: building a custom home. Every client has a unique vision, and I enjoy helping bring that vision to life while making the process as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. Seeing a family’s excitement when they walk into their completed home for the first time is incredibly rewarding, and it’s what motivates me every day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but I think that’s what makes the journey worthwhile. Transitioning from luxury automotive sales into custom home sales meant learning an entirely new industry. While both careers are centered around building relationships and providing exceptional service, purchasing a custom home is a much longer and more emotional process. There was a learning curve in understanding construction, design, and guiding clients through each stage of building a home.
Like many people, I’ve also learned that every client has different priorities, communication styles, and expectations. One of the biggest lessons has been adapting my approach to meet each family where they are while making sure they always feel informed and supported throughout the process.
Looking back, those challenges have helped me grow both professionally and personally. They’ve strengthened my confidence, deepened my knowledge of the homebuilding industry, and reinforced that the most rewarding part of my job is earning a client’s trust and helping them create a home they’ll enjoy for years to come.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a luxury home Sales Counselor with Jamestown Estate Homes, I help clients navigate the custom homebuilding process from the very first conversation through the day they receive the keys to their new home. Jamestown is known for building high-quality, personalized homes, and I love being part of a team that gives families the opportunity to create a home that’s uniquely theirs rather than choosing from a one-size-fits-all approach.
Every family has a different vision, and I enjoy learning what’s most important to them so we can design a home that truly reflects their lifestyle.
One thing that sets me apart is my passion for home design. I’ve always loved architecture, and I enjoy sketching floor plans and elevations from scratch. While I’m not the architect, having that creative perspective helps me communicate ideas, understand what clients are trying to achieve, and collaborate with our design and construction teams to bring those ideas to life.
I’m also proud of the customer service foundation I built early in my career. Working in luxury automotive sales taught me that exceptional service isn’t just about the product—it’s about making people feel heard, valued, and confident in their decisions. I bring that same mindset to every client interaction at Jamestown.
What I’m most proud of is the relationships I build along the way. Building a custom home is one of the biggest investments someone will ever make, and it’s a privilege to be part of that journey. Many of my clients become friends long after they’ve moved into their homes, and knowing they trusted both me and Jamestown Estate Homes with such an important milestone is incredibly rewarding.
At the end of the day, I want my clients to remember more than just the beautiful home we built together—I want them to remember that they felt supported, informed, and genuinely cared for throughout the entire experience.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
One thing that surprises people is that I love drawing home floor plans and elevations from scratch. Even before I worked in the homebuilding industry, I found myself sketching different layouts and imagining how people would live in a space. It’s something I genuinely enjoy and has become a creative outlet for me.
While I’m not an architect, having that passion for design has given me a deeper appreciation for the thought and planning that goes into every home. It also helps me better understand what clients are trying to accomplish when they describe their dream home, making it easier to communicate ideas and guide them through the design process.
Most people probably assume my favorite part of the job is selling homes, but it’s actually watching a client’s vision come to life. There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing an idea that started as a conversation become a place where a family will build memories for years to come.
