Hi Douglas , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Greetings! I’m the creator of Tiny Messages and I am grateful for this opportunity to further introduce this movement to the world. I reside in Houston, Texas by way of Jackson, Michigan. Life has been a roller coaster. I have lived in MI, IN, GA, CA, AL, and now TX. I wouldn’t change any part of my journey. Tiny Messages is a testament of all the little steps leading to great distances.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As the song goes; nobody told me, the road would be easy. The beautiful thing is that you have to chop down a tree to manufacture a smooth block of wood. I used to beat myself up over my shortcomings. I was a young man that had been fired from almost every job. I was the young man that was scholastic in high school but later became a college dropout. That young man that was a college dropout became homeless. That young man began to look and embrace his shortcomings and engulfed himself within his depression. That young man ran with that despondency and contemplated suicide on many occasions. I dwelled in those dark places. I accepted a fate that was not my calling, nor my purpose. As I began to look back over my life, I realized that I am a whole blessing. That broken young man still found ways to put smiles on faces and help others. I won’t go into extensive detail at this moment but, my down days were steppingstones to my better days. The first step- Do Better Than Yesterday. The next step- A better you is a better world. I fully embrace those two steps physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. That’s what Tiny Messages is all about. Put your foot down, do better, and be a better you.

I am a creative. I am a choreographer of words, a motivator, and a beacon of light to the world. I am proud to simply be a vessel of growth and positivity. The vision, goal, and mission is to be the most impactful movement in the world. I am growing to invoke an undeniable fire of positivity against negativity. I wake up every morning with the notion of who am I going to bless today? Who needs direct help today? All facets of life. Those will be addressed. What sets me apart is that I unapologetically live within the confines of my own personal growth and enlightenment. A better you is a better world!
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Everything. I have an amazing family. I am the 2nd oldest of 11 siblings. Special shout outs to my parents and our support system. We literally did everything together. From trips across the country with everyone in the motor home, to being homeschooled most of our lives. Amazing memories and many more to come. Everyone is still close. Family is everything.
