Conversations with Eydn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eydn.

Eydn

Hi Eydn, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My journey began with a 5 yr. old girl deeply in love with music. I was so inspired by icons like Sade, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, and Luther Vandross. My fondest memories are from listening to them in the back of my mom’s car with our local radio station playing. You couldn’t stop me from singing everywhere from the choir to the bathroom. It’s definitely my 2nd love Lol!!!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. I’m still not where I want to be, but every challenge has been a stepping stone. Fear was and is still a big hurdle, as well as learning new songs to keep up with the masses lol. But honestly, despite my struggles, I’ve learned to adapt and ground myself through practice and prayer to get through anxiety and imposter syndrome.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I would say I’m most proud of my ability to pivot when needed and embrace vulnerability. Recognizing when things aren’t working and being okay with not having all the answers has been a crucial part of my journey. This new openness to change and self-reflection sets me apart, allowing me to grow and evolve both as an artist and as a person. I’m a creative and I’m going to create. But let’s be real: the industry has shifted big time. I do so many other things, but I will always hold space for creating.

How do you define success?
Whew, that’s a good one!!! For me, success is finding fulfillment and purpose in what I do, both personally and professionally. It’s about staying true to myself, making a positive impact, and continuously striving to grow and improve. Success is not just about achieving goals but also about finding joy and meaning in the journey.
