Conversations with Ghislene Magha

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ghislene Magha.

Hi Ghislene, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started with what I like to call a “purpose breakdown.” I found myself questioning what I was doing with my life and wondering if there was more I was meant to be building. Most of the people around me had two sources of income — one from their careers and another tied to something they were passionate about. I didn’t have that yet, and it really made me pause.

After a very insightful conversation with a friend, he reminded me that my strongest skills — strategy and analytics — could actually help other businesses grow. That conversation planted a seed. A few months later, I decided to test it out, sent out a few pitches, and landed my very first client. We worked together for two years while I was balancing grad school and a full-time job.’

I graduated from NYU in the summer of 2024, bought my first home in 2025, and realized I needed to take my “side hustle” seriously. With layoffs becoming more frequent, I wanted to build something of my own — something that created both freedom and impact. That’s when The Adaptive Creative Group was officially born.

Today, my mission is to bridge strategy and creativity to help brands, founders, and creators find their voice, position themselves with clarity, and scale with purpose. I believe every business — big or small — deserves a strategy that reflects who they are and where they’re going. What started as a personal search for purpose has become a platform that helps others build theirs.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In the beginning, I was juggling everything, a full-time corporate job, grad school, and clients all while trying to figure out who I was becoming in the process. There were so many nights I’d be up until 2 a.m. finishing client work and still had to be up early for my 9-to-5. I loved what I was building, but I was constantly running on empty.

One of the hardest parts wasn’t just the workload, it was learning how to be present. When you’re in build mode, it’s easy to disappear into your goals. I struggled to show up fully for my family and friends, and at times I felt guilty for not being as available. Finding that balance between ambition and being grounded in my personal life has been a journey on its own.

There were also moments of doubt wondering if I was capable, if I was doing enough, or if I was moving too slowly. But over time, I learned that progress doesn’t always look loud. Some seasons are about planting, not shining.

Every challenge from burnout to balance taught me to extend myself grace and trust the timing of my growth. Those lessons have shaped not only how I run my business, but how I live my life now: with more intention, boundaries, and purpose.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I currently work in pricing strategy, which means I help companies make smarter, data-driven decisions that balance profitability, positioning, and customer value. Over the past seven years, I’ve had the opportunity to support both regional and global teams building pricing models, analyzing market behavior, and developing strategies that drive growth and margin optimization.

What I love most about this work is that it sits at the intersection of business strategy and human psychology. Pricing isn’t just about numbers, it’s about understanding perception, trust, and how people assign value. That perspective has shaped the way I approach everything I do, especially in branding.

When I founded The Adaptive Creative Group, I wanted to bring that same analytical depth into the creative space. Most brand strategists focus primarily on visuals or storytelling; I come in with both the data and the design thinking. I build strategies that look good and make financial sense.

What sets me apart is my ability to merge two worlds that rarely meet; corporate-level strategy and creative brand building. I help founders not only look the part but price, position, and scale like the brands they aspire to be. It’s that blend of strategy, structure, and storytelling that makes my work both creative and commercially grounded.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
There’s a saying that “big risks equal big returns,” and I’ve found that to be true though not always in the way people expect. The return isn’t always financial; sometimes it’s growth, clarity, or confidence in who you’re becoming.

For me, one of the biggest risks I’ve taken was deciding to build something of my own while still working a full-time corporate job. I had stability, structure, and a clear path in front of me but I also felt this constant pull toward creating something that aligned more closely with my purpose. Starting The Adaptive Creative Group was my leap of faith – in my skills, my voice, and my ability to figure things out along the way.

Risk, to me, isn’t about being fearless, it’s about alignment. It’s trusting yourself enough to step into the unknown even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed. Buying my first home while launching a business, pitching clients without a full portfolio, or simply saying “yes” before I felt ready – each of those moments came with uncertainty, but also incredible return in growth and self-trust.

I’ve learned that every major turning point in my life came from a risk that didn’t make sense on paper but made sense for my purpose. And that’s the kind of return I’ll always bet on.
