Today we’d like to introduce you to Igbo Catholic Community Young Professionals. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Igbo Catholic Community Young Professionals was inaugurated on August 28, 2022, as a subsidiary of the Igbo Catholic Community Youth group in Houston, Texas. We are a faith-based community group that is focused on developing relationships among young professional adults within the Igbo Catholic community. Our aim is to preserve and promote the Igbo culture and catholic faith through:
• Acts of community service;
• Mentorship opportunities;
• Fellowship with other Catholics; and
• Organizing and participating in different social networking events.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey so far has been quite interesting as we continue to navigate through connecting with many young professionals in the Houston, Texas. We are constantly seeking opportunities to collaborate with different local groups in the Houston area, especially with the increasing number of new professionals relocating to Houston from other states… Nonetheless, we accept the challenge and look forward to uniting young professionals in the catholic faith through various events hosted throughout the year.

We currently have a diverse group of members that are professionals in different career fields. Our group consist of Attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, Content Creators, Cyber Security Analysts, Doctors, Engineers, Entrepreneurs, Nurses, Pharmacists, etc.
