Today we’d like to introduce you to Irma Kavazovic.
Hi Irma, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Irma and I was born in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. A smaller country in eastern Europe. It is a beautiful country with a lot of history. I was in Elementary school when a war started in my country, 1992. It was very scary, we did not have much food, water or any other necessities for a good life. As a young girl of 6 years, my family and I had to hide in a basement, sometimes for days to survive. But all of that made me a much stronger person today. I appreciate the smaller things in life and do not take anything for granted. Three years later everything went back to normal.
My life was pretty normal from than on until 2001. I was a freshman in Highschool when my father suddenly passed away from a heartache. My entire life physically and mentally flipped upside down. I had to grow up overnight. My mother was lost without my father and my brother was only 9 years old. I had to become a strong person for both of them. But life had to continue. I finished High School and went to College. I completed my bachelors degree in Education and literature. I started working as a High school professor. In my country it is very hard to find a job in your field. I was only able to work in my field for a short period of time. So I focused on other things and being a beauty advisor was one of them. I really enjoyed working with ladies and making them look fabulous.
In the meantime, I travelled a lot and spent a lot of great time with my friends. My life was a very normal life for a single girl that likes to spend time with friends, travel and work in my city and country.
I have always said, I AM NOT LEAVING MY HOME TOWN and MOTHERLAND.
BUT things change in life…
My mother has a friend from High School who left our country because of the war. She moved with her husband and two kids to the United States. One of the two children is guy who started to reach out to my via social media. Days went on and we continued to talk more and more. Sometimes we even talked for 5-6 hours at a time. Until one day he sent me a sticker of a ring asking me to marry him (very romantic). A miracle happened..I, the person that never wanted to leave her motherland, agreed to marry him and move far away to the United States.
2019, I moved my entire life into 3 suitcases and moved to Houston, TX.
Today, 5 years later I am live very happy in my happy marriage in our beautiful home that we built together with our two beautiful children, Boy and Girl.
AND…that is my story.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In life everything happens for a reason. I have learned throughout life that you have to have an open mind and always open your eyes. Life gives us signs along the way, you just have to know how to recognize them. I was hit with many big life events but I have learned to adjust. You have to plan and have ambitions to work on yourself. Do not be afraid to fail or live in a what-if moment. I have learned throughout life what it means to be focused. Whatever you set your mind to, it will grow. These are positive and negative thoughts.
I have learned these retrospectives by reading a lot of Psychology books. I learned different energies, vibrations. Everything is inside of us. We just have to know how to control and use it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
First and foremost I am a mother and wife. I am very creative and love the aesthete. I love decor and like to take a lot of pictures and videos to share with people online. I love to cook and give people ideas. I believe that I am very artistic and because of that I create content that I like to share on Social media. WIth the feedback I have received, people like what I present to them. This is people all over the globe. I have a great intuition in what I can to create ahead of time. I like to know ahead of time what I can do and show people that follow me. Women do like to “steal” my ideas, which I do not mind at all. I enjoy seeing people use what I create to raise their children or make their everyday life better.
Sometimes I like to think that I have a great Sixth Sense in what people want to see 😉
I am very proud of myself for what I have become today. When you work on yourself it will only bring the best possible results.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Of course my family. Mother, brother, My husband and my kids of course. I love to travel and that makes me very happy. Seeing and exploring new places.
