Hi Jaquez, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

I launched We The Connect Group on March 16th, just over a year ago, with a clear vision: to bridge the gap between people and opportunity through the relationships I’ve built across the city. Houston is full of resources, but access is everything—and I pride myself on being that access point.
My motto is simple: you’re one connection away from your next level—and I’m that connection.
Over time, I realized people were consistently reaching out to me for recommendations—whether it was the best restaurants, nightlife, sporting events, private experiences, or even trusted service providers like barbers. That demand inspired me to formalize what I was already doing naturally: connecting people to the right people.
Today, We The Connect Group is a growing network of 18 team members, each representing different industries and business avenues. My role is to position them for growth, open doors, and help elevate their businesses to the next phase.
We’ve expanded our services to include luxury transportation, partnering with black truck services and Houston Party Bus, and we continue to build strategic partnerships across the city. I truly believe there’s no call I can’t make to get the job done for my clients.
Beyond business, we host monthly community events because connection isn’t just about transactions—it’s about building real relationships and creating experiences that bring people together.
At the core of everything we do is customer service. Treat people right, deliver value, and everything else will follow. I’m passionate about putting things together and watching them grow into something bigger than expected.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly I feel like I was building up for this so the 10 years I’ve been in Houston I’ve had an impact on so much it’s like a breeze now. Some days I’m super busy phone will not stop and then some days it’s nothing. But I’m thankful for it all and I never stop looking and finding new things and meeting new people.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in making sure my clientele is happy with the service I provide. I am known for being the face knowing the right people and making it happen. In the slang terms THE PLUG because I know all the right people. I am most proud of stepping out on faith and adding We The Connect Group to my journey in life. What sets me apart in this business is I’m always going to be fare and money doesn’t own me. I believe if you do right by people good always follows.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice to anybody that wants to take a leap of faith be all in with no doubts. Believe that you can do this no matter what anybody say because your vision is set and it will happen just stay consistent and sharp. Also don’t worry about money because when you do what you love the money never stops coming. I wish I would’ve started earlier , but I’m right on time.
