Conversations with Jasmine Price

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Price.

Hi Jasmine, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m from Little Rock, Arkansas originally so Pure House H2O started with a small town girl that had big city dreams. I didn’t know exactly what my purpose was at the time; I just knew I wanted to manifest my own destiny. Always having a passion for problem solving, I manufactured my own drinking water to solve two concerns — #1 a lack of credible, pure spring water, specifically in my community of color. And #2: a lack of representation although minorities are 51% of the nation’s bottled water consumers. With a desire to change the status quo, Pure House Hydration Co. (Pure House H2O) was birthed.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My grandmother once told me, “Baby, anything easy to get ain’t worth having,” so although the road had some curves and a pothole here and there, I’m also aware that it’s the road less traveled so I accept everything that comes with it.

One of the biggest struggles to overcome was getting other small businesses to believe in investing in premium hydration when they were so accustomed to the cheaper generic brands. While obtaining the product was already a challenge, marketing said product presented an even bigger task for this one woman show. After diligently working on an influential presentation and thorough market research, Pure House H2O is now in (3) states: Texas, Arkansas and Florida with pending contracts to scale up this quarter.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a business sales manager and purpose life coach (@CoachJasPrice on Instagram and Twitter) by profession. I specialize in curating industry leading sales strategies that result in positive weekly yield rates, and exceptional customer satisfaction ratings, and I help mentor leaders and executives within a top Fortune 100 telecommunications company.

I earned a purpose life coach certification with the intent of fostering action plans to help find others’ purpose in life and to also support endeavors of pushing positivity.

I am also an audio engineer and songwriter under my own independent distribution company.

What sets me apart? Simply put; my work ethic. I’m powered by God therefore no man nor woman can stop my purpose and I have a mindset that I will be the most efficient worker in the room.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was an adventurous dreamer. My mentality has always been if you thinketh, you doeth and therefore you becometh. I’m from a city with a high crime rate, a low population and even lower statistics of wealthy minority families. Raised by a praying mother and military father, I had the discernment and discipline to know how to maneuver through adversity and become an asset to my community rather than a liability.

Music became my escape and after appearing on BET’s 106&Park for Wild Out Wednesday followed up with the BET College Tour, I found some success and acquired an audio engineering skill set to network and further my entrepreneurial endeavors. At Prairie View A&M, I had one of the few recording studios on campus so hustling for survival was innate expertise that helped shaped my assiduous spirit.
