My story began in Compton, California, where life taught me survival at an early age. I grew up surrounded by adversity, navigating challenges like trauma, domestic violence, homelessness, and experiences that could have broken me. For a long time, I believed my past would define me. I stayed in survival mode because it was all I knew.
Over time, I realized healing had to be a choice. I could not just keep surviving, I had to start living. Writing became my outlet, my therapy, and eventually my calling. I wrote You, Empowered not from a place of having all the answers, but from a place of raw truth, shared lessons, and deep healing.
Today, my mission is to help others see their worth beyond their wounds. Every chapter I write, every product I create, every message I share is rooted in one simple truth: you are not broken, you are becoming. I am proud to have built a platform that speaks to resilience, self-love, and growth, and I know this is only the beginning of the legacy I am creating.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. Along the way, I had to face deep pain, rebuild my sense of worth, and fight past fear and self-doubt. One of the biggest struggles was learning how to trust myself again after so much betrayal and disappointment. There were moments when pursuing my purpose felt overwhelming, but each challenge taught me resilience. Every obstacle became part of my growth, shaping the woman and brand I am building today.

My name is Jazzreeal Le’tease, and I am the author and founder behind You, Empowered. For those meeting me for the first time, my journey hasn’t been easy — but it’s been powerful. I come from a background filled with adversity: growing up in Compton, California, surviving personal traumas and building myself back together.
I entered the world of writing and empowerment because I knew what it felt like to struggle silently and to question your worth. I wanted to create something I wish I had during my darkest moments: a true guide, a conversation, a sisterhood in written form. That’s what You, Empowered is. it’s a full-on experience designed to heal, uplift, and awaken your inner strength.

The problems I solve are deeply emotional and personal. I help women (and men) heal from past wounds, reclaim their power, set healthy boundaries, and redefine what success and happiness look like for themselves. I offer a safe space for people who have felt overlooked, broken, or forgotten to finally see their value and live boldly.
What sets me apart is authenticity. I don’t preach from a pedestal, I walk this journey right alongside my audience. I don’t pretend to have all the answers. Instead, I offer my real experiences, hard-earned wisdom, and daily commitment to growth and resilience as a mirror to reflect what’s possible for others. My tone is real, relatable, and raw because I believe healing requires honesty, love, and connection.
