Hi Jeffery , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
So upon moving to Houston a year ago, I lived in Los Angeles and Atlanta where my career has followed me as a personal shopper and wardrobe stylist. Over 6 years in the fashion industry I have continued to utilize my contacts to elevate and promote my talents. I have constantly been a quiet yet impactful part of many high-profile client’s fashion successes. Now being in Houston, I am slowly building my brand and clientele here through one relationship at a time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This path and career has definitely been rocky. After losing my grandmother a few years ago, I gave up on fashion and went back to working jobs still surrounded by fashion. Struggling with grieving yet knowing my potential and talents, I’ve continued to have a foot in the industry. Currently working for Louis Vuitton in Houston Galleria, I have leveraged my job by intertwining my career to be successful. Utilizing my personal client contacts with the desirability of the brand I have not only been able to service existing clients but also gain new clients. The daily struggle of going from a full-time entrepreneur to a full-time employee has been most challenging yet beneficial.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a personal wardrobe stylist and personal shopper alongside being a full-time employee for Louis Vuitton. I specialize in men’s and women’s wear from full wardrobe head to toe. In conjunction with that I do closet organizing. As one of Louis Vuitton’s Top salespeople, I continue to break barriers in my store and region. Continuously building and cultivating genuine relationships, my client list consists of top producers, artist and business owners here in Houston. Being only 1 year with the company, I continue to exceed expectations with my knowledge and authentic character.
In my personal business, I have been able to style some of Houston’s elite socialites and industry bangers. Setting foot in Houston only a year ago, I’ve accumulated several clients who has utilized my services for styling, shopping and closet organizing.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up I was always attracted to education and fashion which was 2 ways I felt was going to make me successful. I was always surrounded by family and friends who poured into my boisterous personality. Having an outspoken and TTG (trained to go) attitude, I always went for what I wanted. Never being easy influenced, I always had the will power to be exactly who I wanted to be. With an attraction to education and fashion, I was always known as one of the smart fly guys who wasn’t to be played with.
