Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennie (Trang) Luong
Hi Jennie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born in Vietnam and spent my early childhood there. At the age of 12, I flied to the United States alone, marking the beginning of a new chapter in my life. Long story short, I started as a hair and nail artist right out of high school, enjoying my work but never quite finding my true passion. Seeking stability, I attended trade school and became a dental assistant, gaining valuable experience over four years. Still, something was missing, so I pursued a dental hygienist degree. During this time, I discovered the art of lashing and found my calling.
As my lashing skills improved and clients expressed their satisfaction, I realized the joy it brought me to help others feel confident and beautiful. Eventually, I opened my own small lash business, continuing to refine my craft and stay current on industry trends. My love for lashing only grew stronger as I embraced innovative techniques, such as LED-UV lashes.
LED-UV lashes offer unique benefits, including a faster drying time and longer retention, thanks to the UV-activated adhesive. Additionally, the adhesive produces fewer fumes, ensuring a more comfortable experience for both the client and the lash artist. By incorporating LED-UV lashes into my services, I can provide clients with stunning results that last longer while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment.
Every time a client opens their eyes with joy upon seeing their new lashes, I am reminded of the satisfaction and fulfillment that lashing brings me. I am proud to have created a thriving business centered around my passion and look forward to continuing to make my clients feel confident and beautiful.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Oh, what a whirlwind adventure it’s been! When I first started my lash business, I was trying to juggle a full-time job and squeeze in clients on my days off. I had no clue what I was doing – I made mistakes and wasted money on marketing companies that didn’t deliver. My savings were running low, and that’s when my mom stepped in to lend me some much-needed cash to keep my dream alive. My husband was my rock, helping me scout for a better location and even pitching in with painting.
But the real game-changer was meeting an amazing mentor who became my marketer, coach, and close friend. He shared valuable advice and support that transformed my business strategy and helped me create a solid plan. I was also fortunate enough to bring an excellent stylist on board, and together, we built a strong team that consistently delivered fantastic service and results.
I couldn’t have made it through without the love and support of my mom, husband, and my incredible team. It’s been tough, but I’m so thankful for everyone who’s had my back. It’s been an unforgettable journey, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for us!

As a lash artist, my work revolves around helping clients feel confident and beautiful through the art of lashing. I specialize in various lash styles and am known for my dedication to staying up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques, such as UV lashes. My focus on using the newest technology sets me apart and ensures that clients receive long-lasting, high-quality results.
What makes my business unique is the love and care we put into every set. We prioritize our clients’ well-being and lash health, sometimes turning away clients whose lashes aren’t in good condition. For us, it’s not just about making money; it’s about providing a safe and positive experience.
I’m most proud of creating a thriving business based on my passion and commitment to excellence. The joy on clients’ faces when they see their new lashes is a constant reminder of why I love what I do.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Most people can’t guess my age! They’re often shocked when they find out that I have a middle schooler—my oldest child. It’s a fun little secret I like to keep.
And as for my business name, it has a special meaning. Firstly, it’s named after my mom—a tribute to the amazing woman who has always supported me. Secondly, the lotus flower holds a special significance in Vietnamese culture. It’s the national flower, known as the “flower of the dawn” and symbolizes purity, commitment, and optimism for the future. Lotus grows in muddy water but remains clean and beautiful. It’s a reminder to stay strong, resilient, and positive, even when things get tough.
