Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordann Dwayne.
Jordann, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Jordann Dwayne is a Houston-based alt/punk rock recording artist, Grammy voting member, and multi-brand entrepreneur. He began singing in a church choir at six raised by his single mother and now leads a portfolio spanning Imperial Panache Inc. Records, Trilogy Diamond & Co., and VYRIA Apparel & Co., . His album Boy Band on Main Street is up for Best Rock Album consideration at the 69th Grammy Awards.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh not at all , it’s all about smiling through the struggles though. Dealing with labels and working independently , maneuvering through the industry learning touring and always trying to make the best creative projects I can to through everything . It’s. A battle trying to stay happy and healthy and positive , keeping things moving forward and still being able to put out great music is not an easy job !
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I don’t like to put myself in a box but I’m focusing on Rock music right now , when I feel like doing other things though I dive in head first . Song writing and composing is my biggest strength so I just love creating . But the biggest moment I am proud of is definitely being accepted into the recording academy it made the 10 + years of investing and long nights worth it . What sets me apart honestly is just my attention to the details and the push for perfection . Music is never right or wrong it’s a feeling , so if the people you make music for feel it , you did your job .
What does success mean to you?
Being happy and healthy & everyone around me in the exact same position being happy doing what they want too. Being financially stable is always the goal but at the end of the day if being creative fuels my career and pays the bills at minimum I’m truly happy .
