Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Ashton.
Hi Joshua, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Well, I started being an MC/Host when I was 14 when I use to do Teen Nights at Club Ambitious in Austin, Tx and then when I was getting older it just took a toll and got serious I started to do actual night clubs and concerts and when I got to college I started to do college events and that’s how I go to where I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road; the struggles I had was people didn’t take me seriously and I had to earn my respect and earn my place in the industry.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a MC/Club Host so what I am known for is to Hype the crowd up and control the crowd while they’re at the club or at a concert waiting on the main act to happen. I’m proud of myself because I made myself believe that I can do it and the main thing that separates me from everything and everyone else is my work ethic.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Where I see myself in 5-10 years is basically in my career which is in the criminal justice field or evaluated in this artist industry.
