Conversations with Joshua Mcallister

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Mcallister

Hi Joshua, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started rapping because it was a way for me to express myself. I often found myself not having people to talk to about my problems or concerns. It started as an outlet that turned into a real passion because I noticed the feedback I was getting from friends and family.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Within my first year after finding a new outlet I lost 4 people that meant the world to me one of them my lil brother Turb and a long time partner while fighting my case . I ended up getting incarcerated and while I was I lost my mother and another long time partner. This motivated me to take my talent and craft more seriously for them not just for the good feedback I was already receiving but because they inspired me in ways that I hope to inspire others with my music .

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I an artist who specializes in melodic music best know for music fashion. I’m most proud being able to overcome the adversity and challenges I experienced in my startup year . Those kinds of challenges really put things into perspective and gave me drive to inspire others to be as great as those 4 people always told me I was. I think what sets me apart is my versatility and ability to adapt to any genre of music while still having a unique sound .

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
