Conversations with Kimberly Olmanson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Olmanson.

Kimberly Olmanson

Hi Kimberly, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
As coffee enthusiasts we found ourselves wanting to bring to our local community really smooth organic coffee. We also wanted to provide fresh roast-to-order coffee that could be offered at our local farmers’ markets weekly. Soon after a great reception from customers, we expanded online and now ship throughout the United States ,and can be found at local co-ops as well.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The response from our community has been very positive, and we are beyond happy to fill a niche in fresh organic coffee

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My husband and I both have a drive towards relationships and people and family which I think has made our endeavor in coffee roasting so rewarding and has also made the business side of coffee roasting easier to navigate as well. We are both customer service driven and have a set goal to always provide a great experience and an exceptional coffee. We are excited to be in the coffee roasting arena that brings people and community together.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
We tend to pursue opportunities that feel right and, therefore, have little risk in our opinion. Lost Pines Coffee Co. began organically with our love for coffee, and community and socializing and quickly grew into a coffee roasting business where we could share our love for coffee with others around us.
