Conversations with Krystal Parker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Krystal Parker.

Hi Krystal, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Photobooths were like adding extra entertainment to make any occasion pop. My cousin Bre rented a selfie booth one day for her birthday, so I was like wow I can actually purchase that and just start renting it out. I Told her I’m about to look into it, ima do it. Two months later I hosted a launch party for it. To showcase it to let everyone see it and take photos with it to get an idea of what it actually does. So since I’ve always been in the mirror and that one particular person that had to have her picture taken on any given occasion. I started doing photography as well, let’s just say I’m in the beginning stage and doing pretty good for a young female from Houston.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Everything has not almost been smooth lol. I’ve been learning since I started the business and still till this day. I would say time management was one of my struggles when starting off. I would arrive to the venue 30 minutes till thinking everything would really be smooth, and in some cases I was wrong. Today I have learned that setting up early prevents a lot of headaches and disappointments. You always wanna set up early to avoid problems.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I offer photobooth rentals and photography sessions. Photobooths are now the “Big Entertainment” for any occasion you host. Since I’m a people person and I love taking photos and letting people enjoy the memories they’re creating warms my heart. I’m most proud of that I juggle a 9-5, being a full time mother and also full time business owner. I am also most proud that I have this big heart that I love to give out to individuals in need. Two months later n to my business I stated that for Christmas I wanted to bless a family every year. Well sometimes in life you wish you could pick everyone in the world so I started off with two. As my business grows, I pray I can help many more families lift a burden off their shoulders during the holidays.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
The Advice I would tell someone is, don’t just jump straight into the business. Watch plenty of tutorials, get familiar with your photobooths, software your gonna choose and camera so that when an event come about, your mind is at ease and everything will run smoothly. Double Check everything before you load up. Always show up early so just in case you forget something you still have plenty of time with no complications.
