Conversations with Lauren Nicole Grace

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Nicole Grace

Hi Lauren, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I began my journey simply by wanting to know what my city had to offer! Even from the time I graduated from the University of Houston, I never really explored Houston. Plus, with social media becoming a growing means of income, I thought that it would be cool to see if I could actually grow a social media platform. I started out by just going to places I enjoyed and posting about them, showing my opinions of what I tasted or experienced. Eventually I was able to meet with other influencers who helped me to develop my craft and other filming techniques. Now I am able to consistently partner with local Houston and international companies while still having new experiences. I’ve also been able to extend myself from just food and activities, which is where I started, to other categories such as beauty and travel. In truth, I really do enjoy content creation.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh of course not! Nothing new is going to be easy. Content creation requires you be to be able to deliver a message in your own words/fashion that is still able to be received and sought after by your audience. It certainly took time for me to find the filming style I most enjoyed and even balancing the categories I wished to cover. In order to find my own voice and get the engagement I wanted, it took quite a lot of trial and error.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a content creator based right here in Houston Texas! I began my work focusing on food but have since expanded to things to do, travel, beauty, and other areas. The goal for my page is for me to be viewers go to spot for all things exploring Houston, inside and out. I’ll always be a foodie with and without my page and Houston is a food city to that will always be the base of my content, but the city has so much more to offer. I love being able to take viewers along with my as I find all these unique experiences!

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Even though I am a foodie…I have to many food allergies! Peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, and coconut are what will get me out of here, however … there’s more. Bananas, kiwis, peas, chickpeas, and surely some that I’m forgetting. However, I do risk them sometimes to I can get the full effect of a meal and give my honest review.
