Today we’d like to introduce you to Lone Mori
Hi Lone, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have been on the road to this point of my music journey since I was a child. Music always made me feel a certain chill inside when it was great work. Being born in 2003, around that time I was listening to the likes of 50 Cent and Eminem. The beats specifically, made by Dr. Dre, had me intrigued on how it was made. Growing up my parents put me into performing arts classes like choir, music, ballet, and theatre. Whole time I was having fun being creative, little did I know I was preparing for a prosperous future being an artist. When I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said an engineer or lawyer like other kids, not knowing what my true passion was. It wasn’t until the end of middle school when I realized making music is what I wanted to do. After coming to this realization, I spent my whole high school career studying and practicing the art of writing music, making beats, and recording songs. It wasn’t until I graduated high school when I came up with the “Lone Mori” persona and sound.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. Most of my struggles came from scrapped ideas and not knowing who I wanted to be. I went from being different types of YouTubers, a gamer, then a streamer. None of those ideas made me feel the same chill making a song did. After I came to that revelation, I had to find out what I wanted to sound like. I never wanted to sound like somebody else, so I had to change my whole style and name a couple of times.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a producer, engineer, songwriter, graphic designer, and music artist. I think I’m more known for my songs than anything but I’ve come pretty far in my graphic design from where I started. I’m most proud of everything to be honest because with every piece of work I put out into the world, I make sure I improve on my last piece of work. Doing this makes the listener feel like they are growing with me as an artist. What sets me apart from others is I refuse to work with people so I can be the best me I can be and make my visions of success come to fruition as accurate as possible.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
The only one who gets credit from me is my mother and God. Without these two entities I wouldn’t have the confidence to share my gift with the world.
