Conversations with Lorena Montano

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lorena Montano.

Lorena Montano

Hi Lorena, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today.  So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.

As a first-generation American and the eldest child, I always envisioned creating a specific “Life” and the word that comes to mind of the life that I want to live is Abundance.

Abundance in God, health, wealth, love, and all the things that we wish were plentiful in our lives.  This desire comes from my parents migrating to America in the pursuit of better living conditions.

One day I was sitting, daydreaming, and I thought to myself how nice it would be if I could have someone wash my car while I was at work. I had a million things to do that day, which included getting my car washed. The more I thought about it, the more I became obsessed with the idea and a short time later Montana Mobile Car Wash was born.  The need to maximize my time and the idea of continued growth is what has led me to my venture and where I am today.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

I hate to sound cliché, but the hardest part was deciding to embark on something new.  There are many mixed emotions that arise when getting started with a business, but now that I am on this journey I can say that it has been pretty smooth.  From forming the LLC, purchasing the van, and organizing the vehicle with all the necessary materials, everything has come together. I have noticed that the universe starts to work in your favor and guides you along the way.  There is so much more that I must learn, but I am certain that God will lead me to where I need to be.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

I have worked in various industries as an Accountant such as engineering, oil and gas, and the educational system.  In my professional career, I’m most proud of working for NASA. I would say that it’s the coolest place that I had the pleasure of working for.

All these experiences have fostered different skill sets that will aid in growing the business. With hard work and perseverance, you can truly be and do anything that you set your mind to.

However, as I embark on my entrepreneurial journey, my current focus for Montana Mobile Car Wash is to continue to grow within our “Niche”. My vision is to have our fully equipped vans be incorporated as an added service in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for any given company. For example, you pay towards this benefit through your employer and Montana Mobile Car Wash will come out as needed. The client will drive off after a long day at the office in a clean, fresh, spotless vehicle, (insert mental picture, LOL).  The other vans would focus on clients that prefer to have the service from the comfort of their home or for those who require detailing. The objective is to follow our slogan, “We bring the mobile car wash experience to you.”

What were you like growing up?

Ever since I can remember I’ve always been disciplined, studious, and determined.  As a child I enjoyed investigating, building, and always wanting to know how things worked. I have always been a homebody that enjoys staying in on a Friday night to catch a new episode of Dateline or 20/20.  Growing up, I have also had a passion for the arts, more specifically music. I remember playing instruments and being inclined to everything percussion.  As an adult I can say that all still holds true and there has been little deviation from my upbringing. I pray that these qualities will aid and come together to continue growing Montana Mobile Car Wash.

FYI…my mother approves of the above message…LOL
