Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariia Mudra.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always believed that beauty is about confidence not just appearance. I started my career back in New York City with a passion for hair and a desire to help women feel like the best version of themselves. What began with one client at a time gradually grew into my own salon and eventually into building my own brand.
The journey definitely wasn’t easy. I moved to the United States and had to build everything from scratch in a completely new country. I learned how to run a business, build a team, attract clients and overcome challenges that come with being both an entrepreneur and an immigrant. Every obstacle taught me something valuable and made me more resilient.
Today I’m the founder of KRASA Beauty Studio where we specialize in luxury hair extensions and hair restoration treatments. KRASA Beauty School where I teach young professionals my exclusive hair extension method. MUDRA haircare brand which was created exclusively to help women maintain their hair easier in everyday life. And a creator of CancerCare method which helps women cancer survivors get to their self faster and healthier. My mission is to create an experience where every client feels beautiful, confident and truly cared for. I’m passionate about education, innovation and constantly raising the standards in the beauty industry.
Looking back I’m proud not only of what I’ve built but of the person I’ve become through the process. And I truly believe this is only the beginning.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not. Building a business is never a smooth road especially when you’re staring out with $500 and a dream . I’m not a business woman so one of my biggest challenges was learning how to run a business from scratch.
Like any entrepreneur I’ve faced setbacks, financial pressure and a complete betrayal and stealing from a team who I thought was family. There were moments when things didn’t go as planned and I had to learn to adapt quickly instead of giving up.
Looking back, I’m actually grateful for those challenges. They taught me resilience, patience and how to solve problems under pressure. I think every obstacle made both me and my business stronger and today I see those experiences as an important part of my success.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a founder of my own signature extensions method called “Ice Fusion”. I created for people with fine, thin and damaged hair frankly because I have it myself and I wasn’t satisfied with the traditional methods available on the market. My goal was to develop a technique that would be as lightweight, comfortable and gentle as possible while still delivering beautiful, natural and long lasting results.
Ice Fusion was specifically designed for people who are often told they’re not good candidates for extensions. Seeing those clients regain their confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Another project that’s very close to my heart is my “CancerCare” method. It’s a specialized approach created for cancer survivors whose hair is growing back after treatment. Their hair requires an entirely different level of care, patience and expertise so I created a solution that helps them feel beautiful and confident again during such an emotional stage of their lives.
What I’m most proud of is creating techniques that don’t just transform hair but transform the way people feel about themselves. For me this work has never been only about beauty. It’s about restoring confidence, giving people hope and helping them feel like themselves again.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I would just like to encourage people to never be afraid of starting over – or starting. Some of the best opportunities in my life came after taking risks and stepping far outside my comfort zone.
I also believe that success is about genuinely caring about the people you serve.
As for me this is only the beginning. I’m excited to continue innovating, developing new techniques, educating other professionals and helping even more women feel confident through my work.
If my story inspires even one person to believe in themselves and keep going despite the challenges then sharing it was absolutely worth it.
