Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracing Paces.
Hi guys, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Before landing on the current lineup, Tracing Paces had released a complete Self Titled EP and went on tour across all of Texas.
Upon arriving home from said tour the band faced some hardships internally, this led to a small hiatus in which the band would see its at the time Bass player and Drummer part ways with the band.
After many deliberations with Singer and Guitar player, we decided to rebuild from what we had. This meant finding a new rhythm section. this leads us to where we are now, writing songs and building a chemistry that we didn’t know the band had.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been such a smooth road, Scheduling plans was a pain starting off, some of us worked full time while some went to school or even lived far. Even before that, just the idea of rebuilding from essentially ZERO was huge, but we persevered and landed at something we all feel is natural and organic.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We Make Music, that’s what we love to do and what we Seek to do.
We are most proud of our accomplishments, including our EP and the tour we went on.
I believe we are known for our perseverance. When looking at the band and how many setbacks there have been or roadblocks in place, I think people still find it crazy how far we’ve come in so little time, to have toured and released a complete project, with all the shows, line-up changes, pandemics, etc… I believe we have done great with the cards we’ve been dealt.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
If you ask us individually we are all able to give you differing responses. But at the core, we all value music, some of us have it in our families, some don’t, some of us picked it up as a means to just not be bored, and some out of awe.
We strive to push ourselves musically and creatively every time we are together even as we are apart sometimes. And as a secondary result, we as a band grow closer each time we have that spark moment, and we attribute it all to the music we get to play.
