Hi Michelle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m Michelle “Meechi” Wimberley, a passionate advocate for holistic healing and recovery. As the Founder of Blue Lotus Integrative Therapeutics in Rosenberg, TX, and Holistic Wellness Director at Serenity Light Recovery, I’ve dedicated my life to bridging the worlds of integrative wellness and addiction recovery, as well as bridging the gap between spirituality and the more secular realms of medicine and behavioral health—approaching both with compassion, faith, and purpose.
My path began with my own healing journey. I am a person in long-term recovery—10 years clean and sober from a life once shaped by addiction and pain. I’m also a thriving survivor of multiple back surgeries, living with a fully fused spine. These experiences became my greatest teachers, awakening a deep reverence for the body’s innate wisdom and igniting my passion for intuitive movement, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care.
I’ve come to understand that every body tells a story—one that holds our personal and generational experiences. This awareness allows me to meet each person exactly where they are, tailoring holistic programs that nurture healing of the mind, body, and spirit while also helping each individual call out their gold—their innate gifts, strengths, and superpowers that are waiting to be remembered and reclaimed.
The story of Serenity Light Recovery began one night when my best friend called to share her vision of opening a spiritually and wellness-focused rehabilitation center for addiction recovery—and asked if I would join her in bringing it to life. My heart lit up instantly, and I jumped in wholeheartedly, helping shape Serenity Light into a healing sanctuary.
During the uncertainty of the COVID era, I felt another divine calling. Amid layoffs and change, I gathered my years of study, training, and lived experience to birth Blue Lotus Integrative Therapeutics—a sacred space for self-discovery, empowerment, and holistic restoration.
My purpose is to help others awaken to their authentic essence—rebuilding self-love, awareness, and vitality through yoga therapy, contrast therapy, mindful strength work, art and movement, nature immersion, Ayurveda, Pilates, aromatherapy, and herbal wisdom. Every session is an invitation to remember your inner healer. I believe that healing isn’t just recovery—it’s a sacred return to wholeness.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road at all—but it’s been deeply transformative. My journey has included navigating long-term recovery from addiction, living with a fully fused spine after multiple back surgeries, and building businesses in the midst of uncertainty during COVID. Each challenge tested me physically, emotionally, and spiritually, but they also became my greatest teachers.
Through these struggles, I learned resilience, patience, and the power of listening to both my body and my intuition. I also discovered the importance of tailoring healing practices to each individual, because I know firsthand that everyone’s path is unique and shaped by their own experiences.
The struggles have not only shaped me—they’ve fueled my mission to help others reconnect with their authentic selves, reclaim their vitality, and recognize their own inner strength and gifts. What could have been just pain became a roadmap for compassion, purpose, and healing.

I empower individuals to heal from addiction, trauma, and physical pain, guiding them toward their authentic selves. I am the Founder of Blue Lotus Integrative Therapeutics (BLIT) in Rosenberg, TX, and Holistic Wellness Director at Serenity Light Recovery, where I cultivate safe, compassionate spaces for self-discovery.
My work integrates a wide array of tools and modalities, including art expression, mindful movement like yoga and Pilates, music, nature therapy, aromatherapy, Ayurvedic principles, Reiki, Yoga Nidra, breathwork, meditation, and pain resilience techniques. I also offer personalized sessions, hybrid training, retreats, and contract services for a variety of industries—from addiction treatment centers and mental health providers to health and wellness resorts and physical rehabilitation facilities.
With extensive training in numerous yoga styles, fitness (NASM), trauma-informed practices, and specialized modalities, my work is deeply informed by my personal journey. Being in long-term recovery since 2015 and overcoming multiple back surgeries has shaped my approach and fueled my passion to help clients connect with their innate resilience, align with their fullest potential, and unlock their inner strength. And together, we say, NAMASTE.
I also find joy in creating seasonal and wellness-focused tea blends, crafting unique flavors for different ailments and sharing them on our website.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is spending time with my family and friends without an agenda, just being fully present and enjoying the moment. I love laughing, connecting, and sharing experiences with the people I care about most—it’s in those moments that life feels truly full.
I also find joy in nature—hiking through quiet trails, feeling the ocean breeze at Surfside Beach, and soaking in the beauty of the outdoors. Halloween holds a special place in my heart; I love the creativity, whimsy, and playful energy of the season. I also love attending the Renaissance Festival, where I can fully immerse myself in fun, costumes, and magical experiences.
Ultimately, what makes me happiest is simple, authentic connection—with people, with nature, and with life itself. It’s the little moments, the laughter, and the shared experiences that bring the most joy.
