Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick B.
Hi Nick, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I just started out wanting to build something and be great at it. A lot of my peers have left this Earth doing something great and it there stories with mine I want to be heard. So I wanted to make a platform for it along with my music. Making it possible to maybe bring awareness to artists actually being more then just tools of entertainment.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being from Houston is candy paint, choppas, S.L.A.B. , awready, and a smooth talker. I’m that but I’m just me when it comes down to it. And my style is considered east coast but I’m A southern boy to the core. So people from the city never could understand that. But it’s been a slow uphill battle for sure.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m hiphop/soul artist. My music is for people that don’t know where they’re going or how they’re going to get to it. I’m really proud of it because I’ve made a lot of strides, to progress, myself and other people that I meet or on that same wavelength, so I try to make it a progressive. Informative knowledge banging in your trunk type of music.
What makes you happy?
The things that generally make me happy is seeing people getting fed from good music. Because a lot of times people don’t understand themselves or anything about themselves or a situation and music is a great gateway in order to get that and understand that. So that makes me really happy, seeing at least one smile on one person that really enjoys. Something that has substance and moves them.
