Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Verrelli.
Hi Patricia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
All three of us have been in the hair industry for over 15 years. We met and worked together as stylists at the same salon. I, Patricia, hail from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and moved to Houston three years ago. Danielle, from California, has lived here for over 20 years, while Jenn was born and raised here. Our diverse backgrounds made our trio even more special, as we each bring a unique essence to the salon. I specialize in curly hair using the Ouidad method, Danielle in hair extensions, and Jenn in balayage.
We genuinely love what we do, and that passion, coupled with our individual expertise, makes our commitment truly remarkable. We opened On Public Display Salon on the same basis—it was time to venture out and create an inviting atmosphere where we could continue to create magic while feeling fulfilled knowing we left our clients better than they came in.
At On PD, we see our careers as much more than just jobs. We get to enhance beauty from the inside out and build meaningful relationships. We’re a family, and that’s truly a blessing.
Our goal is to leave everyone who enters our salon feeling like they’re on Public Display—a testament to the magic we create together.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I literally was laughing reading this question…. No of course it hasnt been easy, but the challenges we all have faced large or small, we kept reminding ourselves of why we started and the purpose we have envisioned.
We all three are completely different and that’s what I think makes us work.
One of us is a take charge, one is the “dyi” woman, and the third is the calming peacemaker.. in our industry you need all three of those traits. It balances a business perfectly. So I would say our biggest feet was learning how to mesh 3 different personalities into one business and I got to say, we did it!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
(Patricia) is Ouidad Certified Stylist~ I was in New York for sometime training and then I worked forthe founder of Ouidad …I’ll say it changed the game for my career and as a stylist.. I have such an immense passion for natural curls of all textures,, I get to puzzle curls in a way that makes them lay symmetrical, elevating any shelf looks or triangle effects. I’ think it’s truly important to teach our clients about their curls, and how to recreate the same look by themselves at home. To seei clients embrace their natural hair and love what they were given is why I have devoted myself to be a curl advocate and certify other stylists so they also can spread the artistry of Ouidad.
Danielle is an educator and creator of Easi Hair Pro Extensions. She travels to other cities and states teaching other stylists the technique while making magic happen for her clientele here also. Branding our own line of Hair Extensions is in the making soon! She is truly a jack of all trades!
Jenn is a master at Balayage and color. From her beautiful natural blonde and red tones to those who went to bring more funkiness out.
We all specialize in our crafts because we truly love what we can do to create a masterpiece at the same time we all have full hearts to see what we could do for our clients.
Passion along with Compassion is what puts our trio on Public Display!
What are your plans for the future?
Well we are Officially open in Memorial. And we taking it all in at the moment, and embracing our creation! It was a journey to get here, but we have a vision and one day have a full service salon, branded On PD hair extensions, and Ouidad stylist with that curly eye magic. But importantly where we can teach, mold and carve a pathway for new stylists to succeed in this industry.by sharing our knowledge and craft with others.
