Conversations with Racheal Davenport

Today we’d like to introduce you to Racheal Davenport.

Hi Racheal, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started Racheal’s Online Boutique LLC on August 23, 2020, on my late grandson’s (Ma’Kylin’s) birthday. I am approaching my 2-year anniversary and still striving to be bigger and better as the years pass. I believe I’m where I am because of my resilience and persistence. I’m aware that things take time and I’m in no rush to make them happen. I know the big payoff will come in due time.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not always been smooth. Running a business takes time. Between online classes, working 10hr shifts and maintaining balance at home can make the task a bit challenging. However, I still make time to keep things in order with my online boutique.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an Administrative Assistant for a Deputy Chief of the Houston Fire Department. I maintain the budget for our division along with timekeeping and other tasks as needed. I specialize in assisting others. I’m known for lending a helping hand when needed. I’m most proud of going back to school. I believe what sets me apart from others is that I am unapologetically me and I don’t allow the chatter in the background to distract me from that.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was loud, I loved to sing, still do and I was always interested in styling my doll’s hair and clothes that my mother bought me.
