Conversations with Rosario Ray

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosario Ray

Hi Rosario, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
This journey all started through love and pain. I’ve always had a love for the arts. One would say art allowed me to express the pain. I could remember watching tv shows as a kid, and would often think “that should be me !” So I went on my path finding myself via singing, drawing, dancing, rapping , hell the list goes on. Growing up in a family of 8 with a single mother, we wasn’t as fortunate, but we damn sure made it look good. I wore alot of hats so I could cut the middle man and save money. I’ve always had a big personality, even though the world would try to dim my light by broadcasting my sexuality. Yes, sexuality has always been part of the conversation when discussing ROSARIORAY. So I figured, “how about I’d brand myself as a sex image” ,and make it sale.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This road has been as bumpy as my teenage ache years! Through my experience when most people see me they automatically think how am I in bed? Are you a top or a bottom? When they can’t get what they want, all of a sudden you’re cocky, difficult, mean, aggressive or you just flat out untalented . A misfit that always wanted to fit in. I haven’t had many yes. Everything has been just me ,and a vision.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m RosarioRay, I AM ART. A piece imperfectly crafted by Gods hand. I try to channel what ever gift I need to complete the job. I specialize in writing, singing, rapping, acting, and producing. I’m most proud of my relationship with my son. I’m honored to be a BLACK MAN that tells his son how much he means to him, and just a simple “I LOVE YOU.” When it comes to being different, I love my relationship with the creator ; GOD is my FIRST LOVE.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice would be “Let life teach you!” We’re all experiencing life in real time. Try to be patient, consistent, and stay hungry. I wish I knew that showing up as your authentic self would take you to the bank and cash out.
