Hi Segura, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Segura Nino. Thank you Voyage Houston for reaching out again and for your continued interest in my story.
Since we last spoke, there have been several exciting milestones in my journey. I have graduated from esthetician school, continued growing my business, and am now preparing to open another salon location in South Houston. What began as a vision in 2022 has expanded into multiple salon locations, allowing me to support beauty professionals while continuing to grow personally and professionally.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Being a wife, a mother of three, and a business owner comes with challenges every day. There have been times when I had to balance family responsibilities, school, and running multiple businesses all at once. The salon industry can also be unpredictable, with some months being very successful and others being much slower.
Despite the ups and downs, I’ve remained committed to my goals. Every challenge has taught me something valuable about resilience, leadership, and perseverance. Graduating from esthetician school while growing my business and expanding into additional salon locations is something I’m very proud of. My journey hasn’t been easy, but those struggles have helped shape the businesswoman and person I am today.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the owner of multiple salon suite locations that provide beauty professionals with a space to build and grow their own businesses. My goal has always been to create more than just a place to work—I strive to create a supportive environment where entrepreneurs can thrive, gain independence, and pursue their dreams.
In addition to owning salon suites, I am a licensed esthetician and am passionate about helping others feel confident in their skin.
What sets my business apart is the personal investment I make in my tenants and clients. I understand that behind every suite is someone working hard to build a future for themselves and their families. I take pride in fostering a professional, welcoming, and community-driven atmosphere where beauty professionals can focus on growing their brands.
What I am most proud of is the growth of the business and the opportunities it has created for others. From opening my first location to expanding into multiple locations, including a new South Houston location, each step has been built on perseverance, faith, and a commitment to serving others. Watching beauty professionals grow successful businesses within my salons is one of my greatest accomplishments.
I want readers to know that my brand is about empowerment, opportunity, and community. Whether someone is a beauty professional looking to take the next step in their career or a client seeking quality services, my goal is to provide an environment where people feel supported, valued, and inspired to succeed.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as creating a life and business that positively impacts others while staying true to my values. Success is not just measured by the number of locations I open or financial growth—it’s about being able to provide opportunities for others, support my family, and help people achieve their goals.
As a wife, mother of three, business owner, and esthetician, success means finding balance while continuing to grow personally and professionally. It means overcoming challenges, learning from setbacks, and continuing to move forward even when the road is difficult.
One of the greatest measures of success for me is seeing the beauty professionals in my salon suites build thriving businesses of their own. Knowing that I have helped create a space where others can pursue their dreams is incredibly rewarding.
