Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Harralson.
Hi Sierra, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m not personally based in Houston, but I’m very much part of the Next Chapter Weddings Houston team, just planted deep in the heart of the Hill Country. A couple of summers ago, I jumped in to help my lifelong best friend, Brandi Swanson, who owns Next Chapter Weddings. She was getting more inquiries than she could take on by herself and was having to turn weddings away, so I stepped in to support her wherever my personal schedule would allow. What started as helping out quickly turned into something much bigger. The demand kept growing, our team grew with it, and now we’re a team of five. It’s been really special to grow alongside the business and help extend what we do into new areas while still staying closely connected to our Houston roots.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I don’t love being physically far from my team. There are days I wish I could pop into a meeting or grab coffee with them in person. But we’ve leaned hard into staying connected with virtual team meetings and a steady stream of hilarious wedding day stories and valuable advice in our group chat. Even from a distance, it still feels like we’re in this together, and that sense of team has made the distance bearable.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As a wedding coordinator, I make sure couples can actually enjoy their wedding day instead of managing timelines, vendors, and last-minute fires. I specialize in bringing everything together seamlessly, calmly, and thoughtfully. I’m known for being organized without being rigid, detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture, and creating an experience that feels supportive and genuine for my couples.
What I’m most proud of is the trust our couples place in us. By the time the wedding day arrives, they know they can fully let go because we’ve got it handled. That confidence and peace of mind is everything. What truly sets us apart is our team dynamic. We work incredibly well together, communicate constantly, and show up for each other and our couples in a big way. There’s a lot of intention behind what we do, and I think people feel that. We take our work seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously, and that balance makes a huge difference on wedding days.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see our team continuing to grow in big ways, from destination weddings to intentional team retreats and celebrating our clients. As our bond as a team deepens, so does the experience we’re able to provide for our couples, which will only improve with time.
