Today we’d like to introduce you to Tangela Stoot

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As a little girl I experienced trauma from my parent’s divorce and my dad’s mental illness that caused rejection and abandonment issues in my life. I finished high school despite the odds and went straight to college at Texas Southern University where I obtained my bachelors degree in Administration of Justice. I got married and had 3 children within a ten year span. We became foster parents and business owners then got divorced after 10 1/2 years. I started working as a 911 police operator for over 10 years then met my second husband and got married and later moved to Dallas where my journey in the mental health field began over 8 years ago. I have always had a passion for helping others and working in ministry, so I developed a desire to bridge the gap between mental health and ministry. My goal is to minister to the whole man. I moved back to Houston and was able to go back to school and received my first masters degree in Psychology and later a 2nd masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I got divorced last year after 12 years of marriage and for the last three years it has been a journey, but God has seen me through. I wrote and published my first book Rejected by Man, but Accepted by God and received my doctorate in divinity this year. I am currently working as a mental health care coordinator and was able to start my nonprofit business, Healing Empowerment Center and Global Healing Development Center LLC. I was able to achieve all of this with God and an amazing support team. I also became the lead Pastor of The Healing Place International and founded When Women Pray and Sisters with Purpose.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has been rocky with so many disappointments and betrayal, but God has never failed me. I lost many things and have had to start over twice, but God. Divorce is never easy and with me experiencing two divorces was devastating. It knocked the wind out of me, but I found peace and strength in prayer, fasting, and worshiping my Heavenly Father. My father passed away years ago and my mother was diagnosed with dementia about three years ago. Life has had its ups and downs, but God has been by my side and cause me to grow even stronger in him.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a mental health care coordinator and a Transitional Mindset Life Coach. I am also an owner of a nonprofit organization Healing Empowerment Center and also Global Healing Development Center, LLC. I love bringing awareness, educating, and coaching others to become a better version of themselves. I am also the Pastor of The Healing Place International Ministries where we minister to the total man and have many documented miracles, healings, and deliverance. What set me apart is being knowledgeable about mental health as a pastor. I am proud to be a first time author, a business owner, and most of all a recipient of a doctorate degree in Divinity. I also have received many awards and recognitions.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People with a passion for mental health and investors to help bring my vision to pass can help with operations and a training facility to provide classes, support, and empowerment to those in need to help with mental health.
