Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiana Taylor.
Hi Tiana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started trying new places during quarantine. All the main fast food places had such long lines. I was trying to find places where I didn’t have to wait forever. I was able to get out and explore the restaurant scene with all the free time I had. I continued trying places as things opened up and posted them on my social media. My friends would inbox me and ask me where I was eating. Then started asking me for suggestions. One day a close friend suggested I make a blog and the rest was history.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a learning curve for sure. I’m not a social media person. I hardly post on my social media so getting my mind into the mode of posting a lot. I thought that the only thing I would have to do was post and people would come to me. I never realized how much work goes on behind the scenes as far as engagement and growth.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a food content creator and photographer. I showcase the best places to grab food or drinks. I’ve only been a content creator for a year and I’m so proud of my growth. This blog took off so quickly. By the time I hit 6 months of blogging, I already went to my first blog event. I had grown to 600 followers by that time as well. By 8 months I hit my first 1,000 followers. It’s been overwhelming and shocking but I’m loving every minute. I put a lot of time and dedication into making quality content. As well as thinking about places my followers would love.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I’ve always loved food and snacks. I’m such a snacked. My mom would always make sure I had snacks anywhere we went. I’ve always been naturally shy until I warm up. Blogging has helped to push me into being more social and confident.
