Today we’d like to introduce you to Wensday The Vampire.
Hi Wensday, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I got into my creative space as a kid. I grew up singing and dancing in church, performing in school talent shows, and trying out for every play I could. My mom was a singer, model, and actress, so being in front of people and expressing myself creatively always felt natural to me, it was something I knew I wanted to do from early on.
I started modeling over a decade ago, originally because I was a homeless teen with nothing to do. But over time it became something much deeper. I realized I wasn’t just taking photos. I was building myself a world. That’s where Wensday the Vampire was born. It’s more than a persona; it’s a reflection of my experiences, my emotions, and the way I’ve learned to turn pain and growth, into something powerful and beautiful.
My journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve balanced motherhood, financial pressure, and personal challenges while still pushing myself to create, perform, and evolve. There were moments where I had to figure everything out on my own…building my brand from the ground up, learning how to market myself, and navigating spaces that weren’t always designed for someone like me. But I stayed consistent, and I stayed true to my vision.
Now, I’m not just modeling. I’m creating music, building a brand, and connecting with a growing community. Everything I do is intentional. From my visuals to my sound, it all ties back to creating a space where people can feel seen and inspired.
And I’m still building.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. A lot of my journey has been about figuring things out in real time, very much last minute. I’ve faced periods of poor physical health, as I am disabled. I’ve struggle with my mental health, but take care of it with therapy and spirituality. I’ve dealt with financial instability while still trying to build something meaningful for myself and my family.
One of the hardest parts is doing so much of it without a strong support system. It’s really just been me and my partner navigating everything together. And of course a few friends helping when they can. There’s a certain weight that comes with knowing you have to keep going, no matter what, because there isn’t always a safety net to fall back on.
Balancing everything has been another major challenge. I’m a mother, I’m building a brand, I’m creating music, building a safe space for my fans and supporters, taking care of the homeless when I can, being kind to myself, modeling, and running my own business. It feels like I’m carrying multiple full-time roles at once. There have been moments where I’ve been exhausted, overwhelmed, and questioning if everything I’m building will come together the way I see it.
I’ve also had to learn how to set boundaries and protect my energy. Not every opportunity is aligned, and not every person around you has the best intentions. Learning that helped me become more selective and more confident in my direction.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a vampire of all trades. I model, create music, and build creative visual concepts that all tie into my persona, Wensday the Vampire. At the core of what I do is storytelling. Whether it’s through a photoshoot, a performance, or a song, I focus on creating a mood and an experience that people can feel, not just see.
I specialize in alternative modeling, editorial work, and character-driven concepts, especially within cosplay and dark, high-fashion aesthetics. I’m known for my creative dark edgy style and spunky personality. If you know me personally, you know real I can be. On the music side, I create alternative and metal-inspired tracks. I’m still a little emo kid at heart. And I’m trying to make my inner child proud.
I also have my own charity called Lyfe happens, and I give out clothing and hygiene Necessities to the homeless. I’ve been doing that pretty solo dolo for a while now. But I do deeply appreciate those who took my charity seriously and helped out. Shout out to my friend Rey for helping me get organized. I also have a small metaphysical business. I dibble and dabble in a lot of different fields. I like keeping productive.
What I’m most proud of is the fact that I’ve built all of this from the ground up while balancing real life responsibilities. I’ve grown a loyal community, created multiple streams of income through my art, and developed a brand that people recognize and connect with. Seeing people resonate with my work, whether they feel empowered, understood, or inspired is the most rewarding part.
What sets me apart is that I’m not just participating in a space, or trying to fit into one. I’m creating my own lane within it. I’m not afraid to be fully expressive, to take risks, or to lean into a vision that doesn’t always fit traditional expectations. Everything I do is deeply personal, and I think that authenticity is what makes it stand out.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I wouldn’t say I’ve had a traditional mentor or large team behind me. Actually I’ve had a lot of doubters. Most of what I’ve built has come from learning, adapting, and figuring things out on my own. That being said, I definitely wouldn’t be where I am without a few key people in my life.
My partner has played a big role in supporting me, especially when it comes to helping me balance everything I have going on. Having someone in my corner during the harder moments, whether that’s emotionally or just helping me manage day to day life has made a difference. Thanks Solo for all that you do.
I also have to give credit to my supporters and community. My “baby bats and ghoulies” have been a huge part of my journey. They show up, they engage, they support my work, and they remind me that what I’m creating actually matters. That kind of encouragement keeps me going, especially during times when things feel uncertain. I have nothing but unconditional love for them.
I’ve also worked with photographers, creatives, and collaborators along the way who have helped bring different visions to life. Even without a formal team, those collaborations have helped me grow, experiment, and refine my craft. Shout out Mikasa for being a big motivator for me. Shout out D6andz for musical inspiration. And I can’t forget Jay, and Law and for helping me get my creative visions out.
Overall, my journey has been very self-driven, but it’s the people who believe in me, support me, and connect with my work that have helped me keep building and pushing forward.
