Hi ZaNiya, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi guys, so this is my story. I always knew I wanted to become something bigger. I started off doing nails and slowly found out that nails weren’t my passion, so one day I took a lash class and passed and became a certified lash tech, ever since then I fell in love with lashing I love seeing my girls look pretty, I got to where I am today because I pushed myself to work hard seeing my mom struggling with her kids just gave me an eye opener to grind For her and I did just that.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly, no, it has not been a smooth road and I say this because I have had hardships fall into place where I’ve had to stop because I wasn’t getting the right traffic to come towards me, also having people take advantage of you is a struggle as well, also wanting to give up because you feel as though you weren’t good enough but all as well I never let that stop me from getting out here and making it.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a lash artist in Houston, Texas. I specialize in making my girls happy and beautiful, I am known for my positive attitude and my powerful work ethic , I am most proud of my change and what I mean by that is I have never been so determined to do something I like until I started lashing , I am currently getting enrolled in aesthetician school to get my state license , and what sets me apart from others is that I can be myself in my own world.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Something I like best about Houston is the different personalities of people I get to meet every day, and something I don’t like is the traffic lol I mean who does.
