Daily Inspiration: Meet Aaron Ledet

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Ledet.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In 2005, during my time in undergrad as an Architecture student at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. I was doing some research in the library for one of my projects. I came across a guy making a party flyer in Microsoft Word on one of the computers, it was terrible, so I asked him if I could redesign it for him. During that time I only knew Adobe Photoshop, that’s the program we would set our architectural projects up in for presentations. Did the work, he paid me $20.00 and that’s when I knew I could make this a business. Well, today I make a lot more than $20 dollars…lol, but I’m humble. I’m a product of public housing, food stamps, and government cheese. Still to this day I have an original brown food stamp in my wallet as a reminder of where I come from. I started out as a country boy from Vinton, Louisiana. (1511 Horridge St.) I’m here now.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely has not always been a smooth road. There were nights while I was in college when I wanted to give up. Nights I cried on the phone with my mom telling her college was not for me. A lot of people would say “but God” right here…lol. I’m going to say “but Sandra”. Sandra is my late mother, she passed away in December of 2020 after complications with COVID-19. She would pray with me, joke with me, just lift my spirits you know. I know those prayers made it to God’s ears and that’s why my business is where it is today. I’m forever grateful. #SandrasSon

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are a multifaceted design firm offering services in Commercial Design, Residential Design, Graphic Design, Videography, and Architectural Renderings.” So, in short, we are a design firm which provides services in multiple areas of marketing and infrastructure.

That’s what makes us different. We have the ability to not just design the building, but market it as well.

What does success mean to you?
Success is seeing the mountain, appreciating the valleys/lessons. Climbing that same mountain and being grateful for the blessings. Knowing that my daughters, Lyric & Kalyse, are happy, loved, and cared for.
