Daily Inspiration: Meet Amy Reynolds

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Reynolds.

Hi Amy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Unbeknownst to me, I started my professional journey as a child. I was raised on a farm in Western Pennsylvania where we cultivated our own food–fruits, vegetables, and meats. I was introduced to a varied palate as well as formed a diverse gut microbiome to help me remain healthy and robust throughout my life.

I went on to achieve a BS in Human Nutrition and Food Science at the University of Houston. After graduation, I was granted status as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer where I served my country for two years in rural Honduras in the Health Sector as a child survivalist.

After reintegrating back into Western life, I secured a job as a Nutritional Private Chef in Boulder, Colorado. As the years rolled by, I gained more and more knowledge about food as medicine and how to use food and supplements to treat IBD, IBS and other auto-immune diseases by healing gut permeability and the microbiome in the gut.

My big “A-ha” came when I realized that the precursor to a healthy body is a healthy emotional diet. Emotions, stress, depression, anxiety, sadness and other chronic low emotions directly affect the gut biome. I then received a certificate as a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and a PSYCH-K facilitator in order to be able to offer a well-rounded wellness plan. Addressing grief can free up enormous energy that the griever didn’t even know was being wasted. Grief is not only about death. The Grief Recovery Institute identifies more than 40 losses that can result in feelings of grief. Divorce, moving, change in health, marriage, having a child, losing a pet, etc.

Addressing subconscious beliefs that are no longer serving our higher good and often are actually sabotaging our higher good led me to PSYCH-K which uses applied kinesiology (muscle testing) to identify and reprogram beliefs using balances as directed by the modality. PSYCH-K is a fast, painless and effective way to simply reprogram what isn’t working for you. It’s fantastic.

As a final self-love, self-care offering, I created a 100% clean, zero fillers, additives or chemicals, skin and body care line called biome Super Cell. Each formula was created using food-grade base oils and waxes, pure plant extracts and essential oils. The purity of these products are unmatched and the essential oils add a healing aspect in the aromatherapy as well as being beneficial for the skin. Most companies that say their product is “all natural” just aren’t telling the truth. I wanted to prove that it IS possible to create a truly 100% pure line that boosts the immune system, aids the skin, and smells great too!

My company’s tagline is “Complete Transformation”. So if you are really ready to finally change and step into the true you. The new and better you that is already in there, please book a session or give me a call to discuss your individual needs.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road for me has not been emotionally smooth as I have lost my entire family. Through this loss, I was introduced to the extreme importance of a healthy emotional diet. And thus shifted the focus of my professional life from just nutrition to emotional healing modalities.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a healer. I assess the client’s current emotional diet, beliefs, blocks, stagnation and grief. I then create a plan to treat the cause of the issues so that the growth and resources applied to go right to shifting the cause and not just the effect, all the while supporting the body with optimal nutrition.

PSYCH-K, Grief Recovery Method and Nutrition are my toolbox.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the creative air that abides in Houston. It’s a large city but pockets of it are so unique with the ability to walk and shop, or go to a play like in New York, its wonderful art scene is world-class. My mother lived in Houston almost her entire life so the city represents my dear mother who I love deeply and miss every moment!

Traffic is always a damper in any city. Would love if Houston had some forward-thinking new public transport!
